KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENT, That we Sarah Ann McKinney as principal and Abner Coats as surety Both of the County of Grant within the Territory of Wisconsin, are holden, and stand firmly bound and obliged unto Hugh R. ????? Esquire, Judge of Probate of Wills and granting Administration, in the Count of Grant, his successors in office, or assigns, to the true payment whereof we do bind ourselves and each of us, ??? and each of our heirs, excutors and administrators, jointly and s???? for the whole and in the whole, firmly by these presents. Sealed with our seals, date the twenty-fifth day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Forty ??????
THE CONDITION OF THIS OBILIGATION IS SUCH That if the above bounden, Sarah Ann McKinney shall well and faithfully in all things, discharge the duty and ???? of Guardian to daughter Lovina McKinney infant daughter of John McKinney deaseased, and shall render a just and true account of all monies and property received by her the said Sarah Ann, and of the application thereof, and of her Guardianship in all respects to the Probate, or any other Court having cognisance thereof, whenever thereunto lawfully required or to said minor heir when she shall have attained to lawful age, then this Obligation to be void, otherwise to abide and remain in full force and virtue.

The underseigned would represent to the said court that they are the Administrators of the Estate of John M. McKinney late of said Grant County ????? that there are ?????? due and owing from said estate, that the interest of all concerned in any manner with the said Estate requires that a sale should be made of both the real & personal property thereto belonging, they would therefore pray that ?????? may be granted them to sell at public or private sale all and ?????? the goods Chattels ????? credits and estate of the said deceased so much therefore may be deemed necessary at present to meet and pay demands which may be presented to the said Administrators.

In the name of God. Amen. I, William McKinney of the Town of Boscobel Grant County in the State of Wisconsin - being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and Transitory life, do therefore make, ordain, publish and declare this to be my last will and Testament. That is to s-- First after all my lawful debts are paid and discharged the residue of my estate real and personel I give bequeath and dispose of as follows to wit" To my wife Lucinda McKinney - all my personal property and real Estate discribed as follows viz: Lot No. Two (2) in Block No. Eighteen in Brindley's Addition to Borckin(?) being the place hwere I now live. The North East quarter of the South west quarter of Section No Thirty Two (32) in Township No Seven (7) North of Range Four (4) west except one acre in the south west corner thereof which is the school house site, together with a right of way to a spring of water from said last described tract of land & which said spring is on the South East quarter of the south west quarter of said section Thirty Two(2) and one half acre of land described as follows to __ commencing at the North East corner of the south west quarter of the North West quarter of section Thirty Five (35) in Townsip No Eight (8) of Range Three west running thence west ten rods, thence south Eight (8) rods, thence East ten (10) rods, thence North Eight (8) rods to the place of beginning, all of which said land is situated in Grant County Wisconsin now passed by me during the term of her natural life: and after her death to be divided equally between my two sons Alfred Marshall E. McKinney and George W. McKinney __. To my son Ezekial H. McKinney, James M. McKinney, Wm A. McKinney and Jeremiah P. McKinney the sum of one dollar even--. and to my daughters Therisa Hamilton and Sarah E. Hardy - also the sum of one dollar each -- which said sums of one dolar each to my four sons and two daughters shall be paid by my two sons Alfred M. McKinney and George W. McKinney, out of my real Estate.
Likewise I make constitute and appoint my son James M. McKinney to be executor of this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills made by me.
In witness whereof I have hereunto subsribed by name and affixed my seal the Sixth day of July AD 1864.

To AB Slaughter County Judge of Richland County WisconsinThe petition of Randolph Elliott of the Town of Richwood county of Richland State of Wisconsin respectfully represents that he is the Son of and heir at Law to Thomas Elliot Deceased. That said deceased departed this life at the Town of Richwood aforesaid on the twenty-fourth day of September AD 1862 without leaving any last will and testatment to the knowledge information or belief of your petitioner that the said deceased died possesed of certain personal property in the State of Wisconsin the value whereof does not exceed the sum of one hundred dollars as your petitioner has been informed and believed. That said deceased also left certain real estate to the probable amount of two hundred dollars and also left debts due and unpaid to an amount unknown to your petitioner that said deceased has left him surviving Thomas Elliott Junior, Joseph Elliott, Charles Elliott, William Elliott, Randolph Elliott who are sons of the said Thomas Elliott deceased also Adaline Elliott, Semour Elliott, Ellen Cass & Mary Racy Grandchildren of the said Thomas Elliott deceased and heirs at Law of the said Thomas Elliott deceased. That said deceased was at the time of his death an inhabitant of the county of Richland State of Wisconsin. Your petitioner therefore asked that letters of administration of the estate of the said intestate - be granted unto G. B. Mc Cown (?) of the afore said town.
