Sangamon Co., IL in 1830 covered a lot more land than does the present county.
Included was all of Menard, and parts of Mason, Logan, Macon, and Christian Counties. Elijah Duncan and Temperance McKinney were married in Sangamon Co. but were in Christian Co. in the 1850 census. They may not have moved but Christian Co. came into being in 1840.
