Elizabeth McKinney Elizabeth McKINNEY was born about 1821 in TN. She was probably the daughter of John McKINNEY and Temperance ________. Her family moved Sangamon Co., IL when she was a young girl and then to Grant Co., WI about 1835.
On 26 Oct 1837 she was married to Vincent B. Morgan in Grant Co., WI. His parents are not known. They are given in the 1842 Grant Co. WI Territorial census with two children and then on the Richland Co., WI census in 1850.
Elizabeth and Vincent had 5 known children.

- Alexander MORGAN b. ca 1845 in Richwood, Richland Co. WI m. Melissa Hillsbury on 2 Sep 1877 in Richland Co., WI d. 28 May 1892 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Richland Co., WI.
- George W. MORGAN b. ca 1849 in WI
Vincent died in 1853 and Elizabeth was married to Thomas D. BUTTON on 10 Mar 1859 in Richwood, Richland Co. WI.
Elizabeth and Thomas had 1 known child.
- Mary BUTTON b. ca 1860 in Crawford Co., WI.
Thomas died 25 May 1874, age 67 and is buried in Coumbe Cemetery in Richland Co. Elizabeth with still living in 1880 when she appeared on the 1880 census of Richwood, Richland Co., WI with the family of her son, Alex Morgan.
Although this page connects only to John McKinny, my ancestor, I am very interested in learning more about this couple.
