Andrew Hosier, son of Peter HOSIERand Hannah (?) was born about 1820 in Miami Co., OH. He was married to Margaret Adair UNDERWOOD, daughter of John D. UNDERWOOD, 23 Feb 1843 in Crow Creek, Bureau Co., IL.

Andrew was a substitute for a man in Will Co., IL in the Civil War. He really must have needed the money. Andrew died 20 May 1865 in Portsmouth Grove, RI from injuries he suffered in the war.
