James WALKER was born about 1873 in Brown Co., IL. He was the son of Charles WALKER and Elizabeth MADDOX. On 29 Jan 1896 he was married to Eda Estella RAPER in Industry, McDonough Co., IL. She was the daughter of Richard Austin RAPER and Espedia Eunice POWELL. (1) James and Eda were separated by 1900.
There are 2 children of James and Eda.
- Mary Elizabeth WALKER b. 7 Jan 1897 in Doddsville, Schuyler Co., IL. (2) On 4 Sep 1920 she married Gurney MCBAIN in Minneapolis, Hennepin Co., MN. (3) She died 24 Sep 1986 in Eldora, Hardin Co., IA (4)and is buried in Elmwood Cemetery, Dike, Grundy Co., IA.
- Nina Marie WALKER b. 10 Oct 1898 in Schulyer Co., IL. She married James F. SUMNER.
James married again to Pearl (Sadie) ASHCRAFT on 4 Jun 1902 in Brown Co., IL. There were children from this marriage but not much is known about them.
- son WALKER b. 24 Mar 1903 in Buenavista Twp., Schuyler Co., IL (5) It is thought that James died about 1947 in IL. He is buried in the Rushville Cemetary (6)next to his sister, Mary LAWLER.
If anyone knows more about James and his second family, I would be very interested in hearing from them. Also, little is known about Nina other than she and James has a large family, some of whom died at an early age.
