Charles WALKER was born 24 Aug 1851 in PA. He was the son of John WALKER and Dorothy HILLIS. (1) His family moved to the Brown Co. area when he was still a young child. He married 1) Elizabeth (MADDOX) LYNN/LINN 15 May 1872 in Brown Co., IL. (2)There are 3 children of Charles and Elizabeth.
Elizabeth died in 1883 and Charles married 2) Isabel (OATMAN) SCOTT in Dec of 1885. This couple lived on a 53 acre farm in Section 2 Twp 1 N R 3 W in Brown Co., IL. (7) Charles was converted at the Chapel Hill church in 1916.
- James WALKER was b. 1873 in Scotts Mill, Brown Co., IL. On 29 Jan 1896 he was married to 1) Eda Estella RAPER in Industry, McDonough Co., IL. (3) James married 2) Pearl ASHCRAFT on 4 Jun 1902 in Brown Co. IL. He died ca 1947.(4)
- Harriet Elizabeth WALKER b. 7 Jun 1877 in Brown Co., IL. She married 1) John F. ASHCRAFT on 10 Mar 1893 in Mt. Sterling. After he died, she married 2) Jasper RAMSEY on 20 Nov 1915. She died 10 Sep 1945 in Rushville, Schuyler Co., IL.(5)
- Mary Elizabeth WALKER b. 20 Oct 1879 in Brown Co., IL. She married Carl Ross LAWLER on 17 Feb 1903. She died 13 Nov 1961 in Rushville, Schuyler Co., IL and is buried in the Rushville Cemetery.(6)
There were 4 children of Charles and Belle.
Charles died at his home 16 Apr 1921(10) and is buried in McClelland Cemetery, Missouri Twp., Brown Co., IL. Belle's death date is not known but she is also buried in McClelland Cemtery. [Note: some records call this the Lynn cemetery]
